This dataset is a collection of geochemical data on samples from the Stibnite-Yellow Pine district of Idaho. The datasets include: whole rock geochemistry; lead, strontium and neodymium isotope chemistry of sulfides and whole rock samples by isotope dilution-thermal-mass spectrometry (ID-TIMS); in situ sulfur isotope chemistry of sulfides by laser ablation-multi collector-inductively coupled-mass spectrometry (LA-MC-ICP-MS); electron microprobe (EMP) images, cathodoluminescence (CL) images and spectra, along with EMP and laser ablation-inductively coupled-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) trace element analysis of sulfides and quartz; and fluid inclusion microthermometry and raman. Samples were collected from the surface...

This dataset is the assembled analytical results of geochemical, petrographic, and geochronologic data for samples, principally those of unmineralized Tertiary volcanic rocks, from the Tonopah, Divide, and Goldfield mining districts of west-central Nevada. Much of the data presented here for the Tonopah and Divide districts are for samples collected by Bonham and Garside (1979) during geologic mapping in and around those districts, whereas much of that for samples from the Goldfield district were obtained by Ashley (1974; 1979; 1990). Additional data were derived from samples collected between 2012–2017, as part of the U.S. Geological Survey Mineral Resources Program funded project titled: “Magmatic-tectonic history...

In summer 2021, the Bureau of Land Management - Nevada (BLM NV) requested that the U.S. Geological Survey Mineral Resources Program (USGS MRP), acting through the Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics Science Center (GMEGSC) and other collaborating USGS Science Centers, conduct a scoping study to: 1) discover mineral resource data and relevant publications that have been released since the publication of the 2016 USGS Sagebrush Focal Area Mineral Resource Assessment (SaMiRA; Day and others, 2016) for the Nevada portion of the Focal Area, and 2) evaluate whether these data support an update to the assessment for the SFA lands in Nevada. The commodities of interest for this scoping study are: copper, gold, lead,...
ScienceBase brings together the best information it can find about USGS researchers and offices to show connections to publications, projects, and data. We are still working to improve this process and information is by no means complete. If you don't see everything you know is associated with you, a colleague, or your office, please be patient while we work to connect the dots. Feel free to contact sciencebase@usgs.gov.
