The Orange Tuff is an informally named tephra-fall deposit that crops out extensively in the volcanic highlands to the south and southwest of Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. The data included in this data release documents the deposit thickness and maximum sizes of lithics present at sites throughout its distribution. Additional tables document dispersal areas calculated from within hand-drawn isopach and lithic isopleth maps based on the aforementioned thickness and lithic size data. Such area measurements will be used in the related subsequent publication listed in the metadata to derive eruption and deposit characteristics such as bulk volume and column height and to help determine the source volcano. These data are derived from the Pleistocene Sacarosa tephra-fall deposit (TFD) which erupted from Misti volcano, Arequipa, southern Peru. The deposit represents a major eruption of Misti and these data are used to characterize the deposit. The radiocarbon ages are from units bracketing the Sacarosa TFD and constrain its eruption age. Whole-rock major and trace element concentrations for Sacarosa pumice were determined by X-ray flourescence and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Density was measured for 89 pumice from six bulk samples of the Sacarosa TFD. These data are provided as part of an effort to characterize the Sacarosa TFD and determine its eruption age.

These data are presented to geochemically characterize glass from the informally named Khonkho tephra, an ashfall deposit that crops out at the Khonkho Wankane archaeological site in Jesus de Machaca, Bolivia. The Khonkho tephra appears to have been emplaced by a major explosive eruption from a currently unknown volcanic source. The unit forms a marker bed at an archaeologically important stratigraphic level. These data are to accompany a publication that describes the tephra-fall deposit and its implications and will eventually be used to correlate the unit to samples from other locations where it crops out and to identify its source volcano and eruption. These data are derived from pumice and scoria from Pacheco stage (as defined by Harpel et al., 2021) tephra-fall deposits (TFD) emplaced between <21 ka and 2 ka by eruptions from Misti volcano, Arequipa, southern Peru. For each unit, these data derived from electron microprobe analysis include major-element analyses for glass, amphibole, plagioclase, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, Fe-Ti oxides, and, where present, olivine. Whole-rock major and trace element concentrations for each unit were determined by X-ray fluorescence. These data support detailed petrologic analysis of each Pacheco stage unit presented elsewhere.
