These data were compiled to perform analyses of hydrologic change, changes in sediment transport, and channel change within Moenkopi Wash, Arizona. Objective(s) of our study were to quantify the magnitude and timing of changes in hydrology, sediment transport, and channel form within Moenkopi Wash and to determine the downstream effects of those changes on sediment delivery downstream to the Little Colorado River, and the Colorado River. These data represent instantaneous discharge records, suspended-sediment sample records, topographic survey data, historical aerial imagery, and channel polygons and centerlines mapped on the historical imagery. Instantaneous discharge records in this study began in 1926 and extend...

These data were compiled for analyses of sediment transport within the Chippewa River, WI. Objective(s) of our study were to determine sand loads contributed by the Chippewa River to the Mississippi River. These data include physical suspended-sediment samples, acoustical suspended-sediment measurements, acoustical suspended-sediment loads, quasi-continuous measurements of bed-elevation, multibeam sonar survey data, and longitudinal profiles of the bed-elevation at certain locations. These data were collected in the Chippewa River in 2018 and 2019. Acoustical suspended-sediment data also include data from March and April 2020. These data were collected by the USGS Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center and...

These data were compiled to better understand sedimentation patterns on the bed of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park, and the way these patterns relate to suspended sediment grain size and concentration. These data were collected by the US Geological Survey Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center from 2000 to 2014, primarily using the "Flying Eyeball" underwater imaging system. This dataset is composed of over 50,000 samples, as part of 16 individual data tables from 16 research expeditions. On each expedition, grain size measurements were made in a grid-like pattern over short segments of the river. Each point sample includes mean grain size, geographic coordinates, date, and geomorphic setting.

These data include geospatial files (shapefiles and orthorectified raster images) and an input hydrograph (csv) for a 1-dimensional unsteady hydrologic model. Shapefiles consist of active channel boundarys and channel centerlines of six reaches of the LCR beginning ~4.5 km above Grand Falls, AZ, and ending ~12.8 km downstream from Cameron, AZ. These reaches are (1) the ~4.5 km above Grand Falls reach, (2) the 1.5km below Grand Falls reach, (3) the ~18.8 km Black Falls reach, (4) the ~16.5 km above Cameron reach, (5) the ~4.7 km Cameron to Moenkopi reach, and (6) the ~8.1 km below Moenkopi reach. Raster images consist of orthorectified aerial photograph mosaics between 1933/34 and 1992. Scans of the images were acquired...

These data provide a comprehensive survey of peak-stage indicators along the Colorado River corridor between river mile (RM) 0 and RM 87 (see Figure 1 in the associated USGS-SIR). In 2008, the locations of peak-stage indicators in three short reaches downstream from RM 87 were measured using a handheld GPS unit (see Appendix 1 in the associated USGS-SIR). Total-station measurements were made using an established network of survey control that references the 2011 realization of NAD83 (NAD83 (2011)) (Kaplinski and others, 2017). The measurements were projected into the State Plane Coordinate System of 1983, Arizona central zone (FIPS zone 0202). Vertical positions are provided in both NAD83 ellipsoid heights and in...
