This USGS data release presents data collected during surveys of nearshore bathymetry and beach topography from northern Monterey Bay, California. Survey operations were conducted between October 20 and October 24, 2014 (USGS Field Activity Number 2014-676-FA). Nearshore bathymetry data were collected using two personal watercraft (PWCs), each equipped with single-beam echosounders and survey-grade global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers. Topography data were collected using an all-terrain vehicle equipped with a GNSS receiver and on foot with GNSS receivers mounted on backpacks. This file contains the raw data collected as part of a vegetation monitoring study that was conducted to assess the changes in plant species frequency inside and outside a fenced exclosure, constructed to eliminate browsing and grazing by feral goats, from 2009-2014 in the US Geological Survey's Kawela research site on the island of Molokai, Hawaii.

Collection of orthorectified images from aerial photograph of wetlands at the U.S. Geological Survey's Cottonwood Lake Study Area, Stutsman County, North Dakota. This collection of images was acquired during July and early August from 1975 to 2015. Aerial photographs of wetlands in the Cottonwood Lake Study Area were collected in order to facilitate a better understanding of the influence of natural climate variability on the vegetation of prairie wetland ecosystems.

This data set represents the results of calculations of hazard curves for a grid of points with a spacing of 0.05 degrees in latitude and longitude. This particular data set is for horizontal spectral response acceleration for 0.2-second period with a 1 percent probability of exceedance in 1 year. The data are for the Western United States and are based on the long-term 2014 National Seismic Hazard Model.
