Hydrologic processes greatly influence Alaska’s physical and biological resources and the human communities that depend upon them. These processes will also be greatly impacted by expected changes in climate, including warming temperatures and changing seasonal precipitation patterns and amounts. However, current understanding of those impacts is limited. Improving that understanding is a first step toward assessing how the likely changes in hydrology will impact other physical and biological processes. The dataset contains GPS survey data from two surveys conducted after a flow event on February 15, 2019, at the USGS continuous slope-area (CSA) gage 09484201 - Bear Creek above Bear Canyon Road, near Tucson, AZ. The CSA gage is located downstream from Pima County Regional Flood Control District ALERT gage 2184 - Bear Canyon Wash near Bear Canyon Rd. The first survey, on February 19, 2019, documents cross section geometry and high-water marks from the flow event and sensor locations in the CSA reach, as well as one high-water mark, a USGS bench mark, and the ALERT sensor at the ALERT gage. The dataset contains data from a GPS survey conducted after a flow event on November 29, 2019, at the USGS streamgage 09471580 - San Pedro River at St David, AZ. The survey, conducted on December 5, 2019, documents cross section geometry and high-water marks from the flow event in the reach downstream from the gage. One CSA pin elevation at CSA 09471588 - San Pedro River below Dragoon Wash at St David, AZ, was also surveyed. The other three CSA sensors at 09471588 were destroyed during the November 29, 2019, flow event.
