The inventory consists of 1,318 samples collected for various projects conducted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey, Lake Erie Geology Group from 1974 to 2005. The samples were collected from Lake Erie; various harbors, beaches and adjacent areas; wet lands; rivers; and streams. Most samples represent grab samples although some core samples are present.
