Summary

This collection includes lantern slides, 35mm slides, black and white negatives, and various prints taken by Florida Geological Survey staff. Images include fossil and mineral specimens, examples of hydrogeologic land formations, outcrops, and mining sites. The physical collection of historical photos is housed in the FGS library. The collection of 35mm slides are stored in binders while lantern slides are stored in archival envelops in a file cabinet. Scan thumbnails are available and searchable at https://resourcespace.dep.state.fl.us/pages/home.php. Larger files are available on request. Select historic images are also available at https://www.floridamemory.com.
