Rig C&D canal crossing ALL PICTURES FROM HERE Drilling from the north side to the south side All pictures from north side of canal Driller: Spring & Associates Easton, MD 410-822-0485 Rodney - one of drillers two-man drill crew today, usually four steering crew is only here for pilot hole steer via cable putting electric signal in ground (from welder?) 8 in. pilot hole 8 in. bit has a 1.5 degree deflected bit end so get a 10 in. hole 20 in. ream hole (rust in pic) 36 in. ream hole this bit (green in pic) contains packer which forces mud into formation) never trip pipe out of hole, just add bit at drill-rig end in midstring and retrieve pipe on south side of canal industrial size desander and mud circulation lots and lots of bentonite [...]
