From increasing urbanization arises the need for research dealing with urban ecosystems and their specificities. Incorporating of wildlife into urban planning is a challenge. This annotated bibliography identifies and describes literature on avian species response to urbanization and provides some general recommendations for supporting avian diversity within the urban landscape.
