This vibracore (ALAK47-01A-0.15-2.88) was sampled in relation to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico for background analyses. The core was collected in shallow water near the beach in the Fowl River Bay area, from -0.15 to -2.88 feet deep, with a total core length of 2.73 feet.
