Summary

The USGS Modeling of Watershed Systems (MoWS) team has developed a National Hydrologic Modeling Framework, which is built on a Geospatial Fabric (GF). The GF is composed of GIS features such as points of interest (POIs), stream segments, and hydrologic responses units (HRUs). The GF is derived for the United States using automated software and the NHDPlus data set. The derived data are organized into the spatial Regions defined by the NHDPlus tiling scheme. In some cases, particularly with regard to routing, users have offered corrections to the derived parameters. If accepted by the MoWS team, the corrected values are published here.
