Album caption: Coarse granite boulder. Part above the ground level has weathered and crumbled away on the east and south sides down to joint plain, leaving the solid rock below projecting as a floor 1-2 feet wide. Nine miles south of Charles City. Pleasant Grove Township, NE1/4 Sec. 21, T. 94 N., R. 16 W. Floyd County, Iowa. July 27, 1914.
