Album caption: Four miles southeast of Rockford, Iowa. 1. Sandy, pebbly material like (2) with included crystalline drift pebbles and boulders 1-3 feet; 2. Pre-glacial (Tertiary? Or Cretaceous?) conglomerate of soft buff sandstone set full of small polished, fossiliferous, black chert and white quartz pebbles - 7-9 feet. Ulster Township, NW1/4, Sec. 29, T. 95 N., R. 17 W. Floyd County, Iowa. July 29, 1914.
