Sun River gorge from gravel terrace above U.S.R.S. camp to east. This pre-Wisconsin gorge is cut 1000 feet deep through the ridge of upturned limestone shown in photos. Shows the U.S.R.S. dam 130 feet high, which blocks the narrow, torturous innermost gorge (post-glacial) cut in the bottom of the pre-Wisconsin gorge. Saypo quadrangle. Teton County, Lewis and Clark County, Montana. September 22, 1920.
