Mounted together; eastern edge of Beartooth Plateau, between Montana-Wyoming line and Clark Fork of the Yellowstone River, an old erosion surface, possibly Oligocene on Pre-Cambrian granite and gneiss 9,000 to 10,000 feet above sea level and 4,000 to 5,000 feet above the plains at the right.
