Summary

Photomicrographs of chalcopyrite associated with contact metamorphic minerals. Specularite replacing calcite, from wall of east-west fissure, west end no. 6 level, Highland Boy mine. The black areas are foils of specularite, which replace calcite. The hand specimen from which this thin section was made shows chalcopyrite intergrown with specularite and replacing marble. Salt Lake County, Utah. 1900, plate 37-B in U.S. Geological Survey. Professional paper 38. 1905.
