Summary

Album Caption: View of the extreme north end of the Trout Creek sandstone in Secs. 9 and 4, T. 6 N., R. 86 W., as seen from a point on the southwest side of the creek looking northeast. The view is across the axis of the basin and shows the massive sandstone pitching southward along the axis at an angle of about 15 degrees. The sandstone is about 100ft thick. The northeast corner of sec. 9, is on the high plateau at the extreme right of the picture. Routt County, Colorado. 1919. Published in U.S. Geological Survey Bulletin 744, Plate V-B. 1923.
