Early mafic dike (?), now amphibolite, in alaskite Potter Hill Granite Gneiss. Pinches and swells from less than one to 13 inches in thickness. Exposed 50 feet along strike. Boudinaged (?) in one place. North 77 degrees east, 57 degrees north. Abandoned quarry, south slope of Bumpin Hill, 0.23 mile north of west end of Spring Brook Avenue. Westerly. Washington County, Rhode Island. October 1963.
