Supai formation has overlain by the Kaibab limestone east of Cottonwood Pass, in sec. 13 T. 23 S., R. 58 E. The conspicuous sandstone 460 feet thick forms the middle part of the Supai formation. It is overlain successively by gypsum bearing sandy shale at the top of that formation and the two massive beds of limestone of the Kaibab limestone. Potosi Mountain in the distance.
