Summary

Northwest toward ridge in S. 1/2 sec. 4, T. 23 S., R. 58 E.; the spur is capped by the sandstone at the base of the Bird Spring formation. The prominent cliff is the Yellowpine limestone, the top member of the Monte Cristo limestone, underlain successively by the Arrowhead limestone, Bullion dolomite and the Anchor limestone members.
