Summary

Rock stream in lower portion of Silver basin, Silverton quadrangle, the outer rim of lighter color than the rest of the stream consists of debris of rhyolite of the Potosi volcanic series; the rest of the detritus of dark tone was derived from andesitic rocks of the Silverton volcanic series. Ouray County, Colorado. 11 a.m. September 18, 1900. Plate 13-A in U.S. Geological Survey. Professional paper 67. 1909.
