Gothic Mountain, East River, picturesque mountain form, as well as a most instructive geological picture. The bast of the mountain is Cretaceous; then comes a broad, deep band of eruptive rock, covered with the Cretaceous, which is again surmounted with the volcanic material forming its summit.
