View south from Tequa, showing Se-chum-e-way and Moqui, three villages of the Moquis, situated midway between the San Juan and the Little Colorado Rivers, about one hundred miles west of Fort Defiance, in Arizona. They occupy nearly the entire summit of a mesa about 600 feet in height, and so narrow at the southern end, near Moqui, that one can reach across from one perpendicular face to the other. Arizona. 1875.
