Album caption and index card: Panorama with photograph numbes 6-9 of SE front of Main Southern Bull Mt. Mesa. Heavy "scroll" sandstane marks the sharp northeasterly spur of lower Bull Mtn. (G) Coal shown on map in SEC 34 T.6 N., R 27 E. Mont. The large butte at the left is known as Red Butte, a name appearing on the old maps. Located NW 1/4 of Sec. 26. Musselshell County, Montana. 1908. Published as plate 2-A in U.S. Geological Survey. Bulletin 647 (1917).
