Chalcocite disseminated in arkosic siltstone from the Artesia Group of marine Permian rocks near Santa Rosa. Locally the chalcocite(cc) has replaced parts of the framework grains. Exposures by reflected light and by light transmitted through crossed polars; sample CU-5D. Gaudalupe County, New Mexico. n.d. Published as figure 13 in the U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 907-C. 1976.
