Industrial mineral site no. 71, known as "Bettfreund" is a site in Stevens County, Washington. This site has been associated with barite. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 9 says "Two ex-posures of barite about 250 ft. apart, one of which is a 6-ft. bed that crops out for 60 ft. along its strike", and designates the value as "Warrants investigation".
