Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1439, known as "Merritt" is a site in Chelan County, Washington. This site has been associated with massive quartz. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 93 says "Lens of white pegmatitic quartz in schist", and designates the value as "Mined by Ohio Ferro-Alloys Corp. for use in ferrosilicon, but mining costs prohibitive. Currently sold to mineral collectors".
