Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1494, known as "Morris Lake" is a site in Okanogan County, Washington. This site has been associated with sodium sulfate. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 96 says "Area of 19 acres. Contains 1,700 tons of sodium sulfate in brine. Also, crystalline salts about 2 1/2 ft. thick contain 9,000 tons of sodium sulfate per foot of depth of crystal", and designates the value as "Warrants investigation".
