Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1649, known as "Dog Lake" is a site in Yakima County, Washington. This site has been associated with slate and other platy rocks. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 129 says "Light-gray andesite which breaks into long flat tablets of various sizes", and designates the value as "Suitable for flag stones and patio blocks. Currently operated in a small way".
