Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1692, known as "Alverson deposit" is a site in Skagit County, Washington. This site has been associated with strontium. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 37 on page 133 says "Celestite and strontianite occur in a shattered zone 3 to 4 ft. wide in serpentinized dunite. Several thousand tons said to be available above sea level", and designates the value as "Several hundred tons shipped during World War I. Now worked intermittently by Manufacturers Mineral Co., Seattle".
