Summary

Industrial mineral site no. 1748, known as "Springdale Area" is a site in Stevens County, Washington. This site has been associated with limestone and marble. A notation found in DGER Bulletin 48 on page 157 says "The limestones are part of the carbonate rock section of the fault block that extends from Springdale to Valley", and designates the value as "Shedd writes that, "samples from various places appear to show more or less variation in composition, but in general it has considerable magnesia".
