Summary

An isostatic residual gravity map of the Big Bear Lake 100,000scale quadrangle, California was prepared and then this data setused with other information to compute the configuration ofseveral ground water basins. Basin thickness maps were thenprepared.

Purpose

This gravity dataset was collected in order to have adequategravity information over the basins and adjacent basement rocksthat the gravity data could be inverted to separate the basincomponent and then the thickness of the basins could be computed.
