Summary

The geology of the Wallace 1:100,000 quadrangle, Idaho was compiled byReed S. Lewis in 1997 and supplemented by field mapping by Reed S. Lewis,Russell F. Burmester, and Mark D. McFaddan in 1997 and 1998. The geologicmap information was inked onto a 1:100,000-scale topographic base map forinput into an Arc/Info geographic information system(GIS). The digitalgeologic map database can be queried in many ways to produce a variety ofderivative geologic maps.

Purpose

This dataset was developed to provide geologic map GIS of the Idahoportion of the Wallace 1:100,000 quadrangle for use in future spatialanalysis by a variety of users.This database is not meant to be used or displayed at any scale largerthan 1:100,000 (e.g., 1:62,500 or 1:24,000).
