Salinity maps of estuarine habitat have been developed for all estuaries in the Gulf of Mexico. Each map consists of five depth-averaged salinity zones (0-0.5, 0.5-5, 5-15, 15-25, >25 parts per thousand) for high salinity season. In addition, a regional portrayal of salinity has been organized by calendar seasons for all these estuaries. This enables a user to look at a consistent seasonal time period across multiple estuaries to compare and contrast salinity habitat.
