Summary

40 bedrock samples were collected from surface outcrops in Vermont. Samples are the same set as those analyzed for thermal conductivity as part of the National Geothermal Data System program. All analyses were done at AcmeLabs, Canada. Samples were analyzed using ICP – ES (emission spectroscopy) and ICP-MS (mass spectrometry). 11 major elements plus Ni and Sc were analyzed by ICP-ES following a lithium borate fusion and dilute acid digestion. Analyses include Loss on ignition (LOI) and Leco analysis for total carbon and sulphur. A 45 element suite of trace elements was analyzed using ICP-MS (mass spec).
