Summary

The goal of this project was to determine the effects of introduced trout on faunal communities in historically fishless lakes of the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness in central Idaho. The data included in this record are: salamander life stage information; salamander snorkel surveys; lake water chemistry; benthos; zooplankton; lake physical characteristics; an amphibian database; and a fish database.

Purpose

The primary objective of this research was to assess the response of spotted frogs, larval salamanders, and large-bodied insects to the stocking of trout in nsturally fishless wilderness lakes.
