Summary

The dataset is presented in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains soil microbial community-level physiological profiles (CLPP) from eight sites in the northern Great Basin from March and May, 2004. Data were generated in the laboratory using Biolog EcoPlates™, which are 96-well plates that contain various carbon substrates for microbial growth. Soils were collected from six experimental blocks; each spreadsheet row represents measurements from seeded or unseeded plots within each block.

Purpose

This dataset was developed to examine the functional diversity of the soil microbial community at cheatgrass-invaded sites and the response of those communities to restoration efforts (ie: sugar application and re-seeding).
