Assessment of greenhouse gas fluxes from wetland catchments in the Prairie Pothole Region

This research will collect data on greenhouse gas fluxes of wetlands and their catchments, and the biogeochemical processes associated with these fluxes. Data will be collected in both growing and dormant seasons using in-house developed novel sampling devices to capture diurnal and event-driven fluxes and fluxes of dissolved gases of wetland waters. Data will be used to improve models and estimates of C-sequestration and fluxes from the PPR.
