he Transboundary Forest Science and Management Dialogue held Feb 24-26 in Vancouver was the third in the series of transboundary meetings and the first held in BC - the previous two were hosted in Juneau, AK by the USDA Forest Service, PNW Research Station, and the Alaska Coastal Rainforest Center (ACRC), University of Alaska Southeast. The overall goal of the invitational dialogue was to provide a forum for (ongoing) coordination and integration of data and scientific work across the north coastal temperate rainforest. Particularly, this dialogue strove to continue to: - Advance binational research projects that support landscape (or multi-level) sustainable resource management - Promote integration of science and applied management across institutional and geographic boundaries - Facilitate development, dissemination, documentation, storage of data among researchers and practitioners The meeting objectives were met through a combination of a field trip, social with plenary session, full group research talks and updates, and parallel working sessions.
