This collection contains logical groupings of data and information assets that are assembled/curated to answer particular questions or provide an application for using and working within the Biogeographic Information System. The collections here are logical packages of biogeographic data assets that we assemble in order to tell particular stories, build mapping applications, and present information together in ways that work toward a purpose. The collections are intended to be dynamically interfaced with via the ScienceBase Application Programming Interface (API) where they are called up by an application that interprets contents in a particular way to present functionality to a user in a mapping interface or some other visualization.
