Summary

Acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) data were collected at multiple transects, and along a prescribed navigated path throughout Calumet Harbor on September 14, 2015 to determine the spatial distribution of layer-averaged velocities. Velocity data were processed using the Velocity Mapping Toolbox (Parsons and other, 2013). Any data assigned a value of "-9999" are invalid or missing and should not be used for analysis. Parsons, D. Purpose

Water velocities were measured in the Calumet Harbor on September 14, 2015, using Teledyne Rio Grande 600 kHz ADCPs. The data were georeferenced with differential Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers with submeter accuracy. These velocity data were collected in cooperation with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District.
