Geologic image in the Kentucky Geological Survey data repository.Image Name: Image Date: 1/1/2008 Category: photo_scene Source: Potter, Paul Format: JPG Size (MB): 1.91 Pixel Dimensions: 1782 x 1188 Description: Looking upstream and eastward at river level carbonates with abundant, but isolated, silicified litho-strontional coral heads. Found at the base of Paddys Bluff in the Salem-St. Louis Limestones (Mississipian). This is the best river exposure of this limestone between Barkley Dam and the Ohio River. This river was unusually low due to prolonged drought.
