Summary

This portion of the USGS data release presents data from spatial surveys of water column currents and acoustic backscatter collected in the mouth of the Columbia River, Oregon and Washington, in 2013 (USGS Field Activity S-03-13-WO). Measurements of current velocity, discharge, and acoustic backscatter amplitude in the water column were collected using a downward looking 600 kHz Teledyne RDI ADCP pole-mounted to the R/V Park Snavely. Positioning and orientation of the ADCP were measured using an Applanix POS MV 320 and recorded at 1 Hz intervals.
