Summary

This document outlines a funding process for building watershed protection, administrative capacity, and community-based ecosystem resilience in the Missouri Headwaters Basin (MHB) in southwest Montana. The MHB was selected by the National Drought Resilience Partnership (NDRP) to demonstrate how multi-agency, non-profit and landowner collaboration across multiple scales can build large landscape drought resilience. The NDRP focus on the MHB has catalyzed partnerships and creates a unique opportunity for stakeholders to work together to leverage funds to support sub-watersheds.
