Summary

A mastodon (Mammut americanum) tusk found at the Rupp Construction company sand and gravel pit in the southeast quarter of Section 1 in Baughman Township, Wayne County, Ohio. The specimen is stored at Orrville High School. The images were taken by Orrville High School's earth sciences teacher, Robert Shonk, in the 1970s. The location given is approximate to the excavation site.
