Summary

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Data Release provides time-lapse photography collected from six sites at Milford Lake, Kansas, during June through November 2016. All photographic images are displayed using a .mov common multimedia format. Time-lapse cameras were used to visually capture cyanobacterial accumulations and movement throughout Milford Lake, Kansas, at one-hour intervals from June 29 through July 20 then at five-minute intervals from July 21 through November 28. This dataset includes all time-lapse photography collected at six short-term, fixed-site locations as part of a study to evaluate the spatial variability of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms in Milford Lake, Kansas.

These data were collected by the USGS Kansas Water Science Center, in cooperation with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, as part of a study to evaluate the spatial variability of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms in Milford Lake, Kansas. These data are published in support of the USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2018-5166 (https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20185166)
