Eastern North Carolina 2014-2015 LiDAR Derived 20ft Resolution Percentage of LiDAR Points 1 to 3 Meters Above Ground

Summary
This data set is a 20ft resolution raster representing the percentage of LiDAR points which fall 1 to 3 meters above ground layer for the eastern 60 counties of North Carolina. This data was derived from the 2014 and 2015 QL2 LiDAR datasets collected by USGS and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. This data was processed using Laszip software to compress the LAS data to LASZIP format, GDAL gdalbuildvirt was used to create county mosaics of 5ft resolution. County 3 to 7m point count layers were then aggregated to a single 1 to 3 m point count layer for 60 counties. The values of this raster layer was then divided by a raster layer with the point count with a range of 0 to 250 ft above ground ( the standard filter for all points) The raster layer was then exported using r.out.gdal as a deflate compressed geotiff. Projection information was assigned using gdal_translate. to set the label of the projection to EPSG:6543 , or North Carolina State Plane Feet, NAD83 (2011)
