Summary

The Mount Doonerak trend exposes important structural-stratigraphic relations that are important keys to understanding the orogenic evolution of the Brooks Range. Here, the base of the Endicott Mountains allochthon lies at the base of the dark gray-weathering package (Hunt Fork Shale) at mid-ground. Below the Hunt Fork lies Lisburne Limestone and Sadlerochit Group strata within the North Slope parautochthon. Intra-parautochthon thrust faults further complicate the structure and stratigrpahy in this area. folder: photos_doonerak_trend\doonerak_area_stratography_details Taken by Charles G. (Gil) Mull. Location accuracy is good.
