Summary

Rock core in Kite quadrangle, Letcher County, Kentucky penetrating Pennsylvanian strata. This core is part of the USGS DDH series. Continuous cores drilled by the USGS in 1962 during the Kentucky geologic mapping program to establish stratigraphy and obtain coal samples.
