Rock core in Simpsonville quadrangle, Shelby County, Kentucky penetrating Middle/Upper Ordovician strata. This core is part of the USGS GQ series. Continuous cores drilled by the USGS during the Kentucky geologic mapping program to establish stratigraphy in areas with little outcrop exposure.
